NMJ Topline NSB BC3 21240 2. Class passenger coach "Namskogan Family park"

NMJ Topline model of teh BC3 21238 2nd Cla. with children play compartment in the new design with advertizement for the Namskogan Family park. All details on the bogies, body, undercarriage, roof and with complete interior. Exact in HO 1:87, 270,1 mm o.b.

BC3 coaches were equipped with a play room for children and they were mainly used on the 720km long Nordland line beween Trondheim and Bodø.

Totally 136 coaches of the B3 type were built by Strømmmens Værksted from 1962 to 1973. In addtion, 20 old coaches were rebuilt to the B3 of NSB workshops. The B3 type was an important part of modenization of the NSB rolling stock enabling NSB to scrap many of the old wooden coaches. 226 coaches were built/rebuilt from older coaches from 1962-1979. B3 was in use on all the NSB network and to Sweden and Denmark until December 2014.

The B3 series coaches consisted of following types, A2, AB11/12, B3, B3K, B3-2, BF11, BF12, BR, C3, DF22, DF37, R1, WLA, WLAB/WLABK.
