Historic.
Co3c type 2, from 1956 Bo3c and from 1970 B22 was built by Skabo in 1928 in a series with velvet roofs. This was the continuation of Co3c type 1 which had the lantern roof. Co3c type 1 were built in 3 series from 1912 to 1924, mostly by Strømmen and 5 by Skandia in Denmark. Totally built Bo3c type 1 and 2 was 52.
These open coaches with bigger windows gave a good view to the beautiful scenery of Norway. The seating was the more spacious 2+2 and it made these coaches were popular among the travellers.
The Co3c/Bo3c were at first put into the main lines to Bergen, Trondhjem and Stavanger. After the arrival of steel type B2/B9 and B3, the Bo3c/B22 was moved to the Røros-, Vestold-, Østfoldline and supplementary trains in the summer seasons and further on the comuter service.
After the introduction the B7 series coaches from 1983-1985 the last of these coaches was taken out of service in 1983 after for many of them amazing 70 years of service.
The name "Tourist coach" was a synonym for open coaches with bigger windows and was continued with the B2/B9 from early 1950ties and with the well know B3 type from 1962.
