NMJ Topline modell NSB 11.2102 in the red/black livery with yellow snow plows, DC.

Superdetailed Topline model of El 11 in the new design from 1983 and with all details on the body, roof and uncercarriage. Metal chassis with middle motor with two flywheels and cardan axel with driving on all axels. Lighting in both driver cabins and with ready mounted loudspeaker for ease sound decoder mounting. MTC 21-pin decoder interface and NEM short couplings mechanism and pocket. Light change white/red according to driving direction. Length over buffer 166,1 mm

Digitally the model can have following functions: lower ligth forwward and rear, on-off, top lamp directional on- off, drivers cabins lights on-of separately front and rear.

For digital sound we recommend the NMJ ready programmed decoders with all functions including the fading of the top lamps just as on the prototypes.

NSB El 11 was a important part of the modernization program "Get rid of Steam". EL 11 was technically a blue print of the SBB Re 4/4- I with another body. 41 EL 11 were build by NEBB/Thune from 1951-1966 of which the 2145-2150 were of the El 11b type with two front windows and multiple contacts.

El 11 was a light universal locomotive for passenger and freight service very well adopted for Norwegian conditions and with good driving conditions. Used on all the electrified network in Norway and in the trains to Karlstad and Gothenburg in Sweden.

Some technical data; EL 11 have a weight of 62 tons, output of 2280HP, length of 14450mm and driving wheel diameter 1060mm. Maximum allowed speed of 105 m/h.
