EL 13 has following features in digital mode:
FO toplamp on off with the very typical fading of the bulb
F1 lower white lamps on-off both ends (norwegian system)
F2 interior light cabin 1
F3 interior light cabin 2

The previous EL11 soon proved to be to weak for the gradients on the Bergen and Dovrebanen and NSB ordered the heavier and stronger El 13. El 13 was beside the Di 3 Nohab the first real universal locomotive at NSB. 27 El13 was build by NEBB (Norwegian subsidary of Brown Boveri in Switzerland) and Thunes Mek Verksted from 1957-1966. El 13 was used for heavy freight and passenger service as soon as the line was reinforced 18 tons axe lload.
