G5/Gs was a classic and very common Norwegian freight wagon, with UIC chassis with axel distance of 5700 mm. Altogether 469 wagons type 1 and type 2 were delivered to NSB 1957-1962.
This type of freight wagons, made after UIC specifications for international use, made service all over Europe possible. Many thousends were built with standardized chassis but mostly each country had different solution for the bodies.
ThE NSB G5/Gs and SJ Ge project is a joint-venture between NMJ and DEKAS.
