His became the first modern box car by NSB with 3 slidings on each side for easy loading with fork lifts. All together 1000 wagons were produced from 1964 to 1968. His made it possble to scrap many old G2 and G3 wagons.
NSB His is devided into 5 different types:
Type 1: wooden walls, wooden roof and brakeman`s platform
Type 2: wooden walls, wooden roof and brake wheels
Type 3: wooden walls, fiberglass roof and brakeman`s platform
Type 4: wooden wall, fiberglaass roof and brake wheels
Type 5, steel walls, 2 sliding doors, fiberglass roof and brake wheels
His was a standard UIC construction with 5,7m axel distance and was build all over Europe with different bodies.
