Topdetailed Topline model of the NSB G4 type box car with all details on the body, chassis, brake platform and roof. Body with stiffening beam and end wall with steel top. NEM pocket and short cloupler mechanism. Length over buffers 129,9 mm.
NSB G4/Gbkls was the most common box car in Norway. All together 1858 wagons were delivered from February 1932 until 1955. Nickhamed "The Elephant" due to this was only box car big enough to be loaded with Elephants from the Circus going by train in 1940-50ties. G4 represented something new and different when the first G4 were delivered in 1932 and remained the biggest box car by NSB until the Gbs arrived from 1964.
G4 was built by many Norwegian factories, Eidsfos Verk, Høka, Skabo and Strømmen and was in use until mid 1990-ties and several are preserved by Norwegian Railway Club.
