The B3 generation steel coaches was an important of the modernization of NSB and started in 1962 and last coachesas late as 1979, the last coaches remained in service until December 2014. The B3 generation was the most numerous steel coaches of NSB, with totally 226 coaches built. Delivered in following types; A2, AB11, AB12, B3, B3-2, B3K, BF11 og BF12, BR, C3, DF22, DF37, F3, R1, WLA, WLAB.
