NMJ Superline NSB Cm 18249, DCC Digital

The Superliine model of the NSB Cm/Cmb 16 18249 have all details on the body, roof and chassis. The model is ready DCC digital and with interior light. Perfect paint work and complete lettering with NSB logo and lining.

HISTORY

NSB wanted to test if the sucessful small 2 axeled motor coach type Yd built by Hilding Carlsson i Umeå could be an alternative also in Norway. One test motor coach. Cm 18246, was ready for testing and delivery 11.2.1937. After test sucessful testing the motor coach left for the 1732 km drive from Umeå to Bergen. On the 23.2.1937 the 18246 was approved and put into local trafic around Hånefoss and Numedalsbanen. Another two was ordered, this time built on lisens by Skabo in Oslo and delivered in 1938. These two were in use around also and on the Numedalsbanen. They proved to the be too small for trafic and was used for inspection and transport of offical NSB emnployes from ca 1950 and onward.
